Free to all Merridale FuelFX users irrespective of the age of the system
As those who use Merridale will be aware, it’s the reporting software that counts. The diesel storage tank and the pumps are out in the yard and providing they are looked after properly the equipment will provide years of useful service.
The functional part of the system is the data acquisition and analysis to create useful information to support the effective back office administration. This is the vital data that puts you in control of fuel costs, vehicle performance, driver performance and stock control.
This data is a valuable asset and the reporting software is therefore key to the smooth running of the business operations. Merridale understands the need to constantly adapt to improved business practices and this explains why Merridale enjoys long standing relations with customers such as Argos, Iceland Foods, Indesit Hotpoint, TNT, HDNL and many other well known companies.
We are proud of our reputation as a leading supplier and happy to face fair and truthful competition. Sadly this is not always the case in our industry. It has come to our notice that existing users are being approached by some companies, some allegedly describing themselves as representing MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd in order to gain service work and upgrades to existing Merridale Equipment.
Having gained this foot in the door, they are suggesting that the Merridale equipment is out of date and may become unsupportable. The sales pitch then moves on to an upgrade based on an alternative data acquisition module, not approved by Merridale.
Users can be assured that there is no such thing as an obsolete Merridale unit. All systems supplied since the original design inception in 1994 are fully capable of being maintained and can be officially upgraded where there is operational needs. There have never been any compulsory upgrades required just to keep system operable.
For sure we will continue to develop the software, drawing on the feedback and operational experience we obtain from Merridale users, and from time to time we will release approved upgrades. These are all officially approved and made available free of charge from the Merridale website.
These packages reinforce the Merridale practice of being a proven one solution provider dedicated to assisting fleet operators optimise fuel usage.
Please contact MIS Fuel Monitoring if you are approached by service support vendors offering unscheduled upgrades. And please be warned that we will not accept responsibility for any non approved upgrade and subsequent liability in the event system failure or any supportability issues that have been introduced.
