Since 1994, Merridale has been producing quality and robust products using only the best tried and tested components and it is now almost 15 years since they launched their 10 year supportability pledge.
Originally born out of a plethora of fleet operators approaching Merridale when they found their current supplier no longer wished to support their older systems, the Merridale pledge promised that Merridale equipment was designed and built to last a minimum of 10 years. It was also guaranteed that there would be parts, technical support, and continuity for the product for at least the period offered.
“This is a pledge that we are happy to have not only kept but indeed exceeded with equipment sold during the early years,” said Stephen Hannan, Sales Director for Merridale.
“The terms ‘obsolete’ and ‘legacy’ do not feature in the Merridale lexicon. All our new developments and components are designed with current systems in mind but are also capable of being utilised in older models. Since inception Merridale systems have been designed with the ability to accept upgrades that will provide the latest features associated with the most up to date offerings.”
By using only the very best components with a design focused on longevity, Merridale guarantees that their systems are built to outlast those that use cheap or counterfeit parts. For this reason, the Merridale pledge is invalidated when parts are fitted by none approved and untrained third party companies.
“The obvious benefit of our pledge is that fleet operators can be sure that Merridale systems will be supported and remain functional for many years, thereby offering the ‘lowest lifetime’ costs,” concluded Stephen.
