Amey Highways Ltd, a UK-based infrastructure support service provider, has recently praised Merridale for their high standards of quality and service regarding their fuel management systems.
With a fleet of over 130 vehicles and an average annual fuel cost of £1.3 million, having the capacity to monitor, manage, and control all aspects of the fuelling process is priceless to Amey’s transport infrastructure project manager, Malcolm Swinbourne.
“The current Merridale system was already in place when I joined the company but as I had already used them in previous roles, I was confident they were up to standards as they have always provided such a first-class service,” Malcolm told us.
The FuelWorks software is very easy to use and allows for better management and control of our fleet and fuel. For me, the stock prediction and level alert features are key.
FuelWorks has become increasingly popular with Merridale’s current customers. Due to its ability to be accessed through a web browser, FuelWorks gives the user complete flexibility and accessibility, eliminating the need for the software to be installed on a limited number of nominated devices. Other features of Merridale’s web-based software include secure encrypted HTTPS connections, multiple users across multiple sites, real-time capabilities, a range of reporting features including fuel, cost, vehicle and driver performance, and environmental impact.
“The FuelWorks software is very easy to use and allows for better management and control of our fleet and fuel. For me, the stock prediction and level alert features are key. With this, we can not only ensure we never run out but also be made aware of any leaks or thefts. The reporting aspects of the software have also been very beneficial to us, especially as we use them towards our environmental and carbon emissions data.”
The software has been designed in-house by Merridale to be as user-friendly as possible, without sacrificing any functionality. Merridale also offers unrivalled levels of support and training, with initial training being available remotely, and a helpdesk on hand to offer ongoing support.
On having to use Merridale’s after-sales support, Malcolm said “I have always found everyone I have dealt with at Merridale to be very helpful and efficient. We have called upon Merridale for annual servicing and very occasional repairs since I joined Amey. We’ve only had good experiences with the engineers and service desk staff, last time we had to call them they were on-site and rectified the issue the same day.”
